Summer Reading Star

During the week the first week of June, all Godwin and Highland K-5 students attended an assembly where they were introduced to our annual Summer Reading Program.  This program is designed to inspire and encourage all children to read throughout the summer.

Our 2016 program theme is “On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!” and promotes Health and Wellness.  This program is offered through the joint efforts of the Midland Park Public Education Foundation, Highland & Godwin Schools and the Midland Park Public Library.

To become a Summer Reading Star, complete four simple steps:

1. Complete the Midland Park Public Library Summer Reading Program

2. Read the recommended summer reading from your teacher for next year at Highland or Godwin School

3. Read a book to someone else (a friend, parent, grandparent, brother or sister)

4. Tell Miss Emily, children’s librarian at Midland Park Public Library, your favorite reading spot.

Once your child completes the requirements, turn in your form to the Midland Park Public Library Children’s Department by Saturday, August 20, 2016.  You’ll be sent home with the

“A Summer Reading Star Lives Here!” lawn sign to display in front of your house!
